Imagine a picturesque carriage ride amidst a beautiful snowfall and hundreds of dazzling lights. At Lake Carolina, this exquisite image is a reality during the annual Harborside Lights festival. This popular event draws in tons of guests for an evening of winter celebration. Here are five reasons you won’t want to miss our biggest event in December:

1. There’s live entertainment.
Get into the holiday spirit with musical performances. Harborside Lights is the perfect atmosphere for gathering friends and family. Don’t fret about cold weather -- plenty of holiday treats will be provided to keep you warm.

2. There’s holiday cheer in the form of horse-drawn carriage rides.
Need we say more? This magical tradition allows a new way of taking in the grandiose light displays. It’s something you and your family won’t soon forget!

3. Santa Claus will make an appearance.

Little ones will love the chance to meet ‘the man in the big red suit’ himself! A photo op for pictures with Santa is available for children who attend.

4. There’s over sixteen hundred twinkling lights decorating the development.
Experience Lake Carolina like never before! Hundreds of sparkling lights illuminate the community and make Harborside Lights one of our best events throughout the year.

5. A 5K run/walk is also part of the event!
Jog or stroll through the development during its loveliest time of year! You’ll breeze past holiday light displays, luminaries and dozens of decorated trees. A one-mile Kids Fun Run will also be available.

Admission to Harborside Lights is free! The celebration begins at 5PM on Saturday, Dec. 10 in Lake Carolina’s Town Center. The 5K will begin at the community’s Jeep Rogers YMCA and finish at the Town Center. To sign up for the race, visit www.strictlyrunning.com. To learn more about new homes in Columbia, click here.
