COLUMBIA, S.C. (May 19, 2010) - Lake Carolina and Inspired Communities teamed up to recognize military personnel at the annual Military Information Fair at Fort Jackson last month. Together with Homeowners Mortgage, Lake Carolina and Inspired Communities held a drawing for $500 to be awarded to one lucky individual attending the event in appreciate of their services to the country.

"We were thrilled to visit the base and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to show our appreciation," Carol Douis, president of Lake Carolina Properties, LLC said. "We have an increasingly high number of active and retired military personnel choosing to live in our communities so I loved visiting theirs."

Douis, along with Lake Carolina Development President David Tuttle, presented the $500 award to Jessie S. Stevenson at Lake Carolina on Wednesday.

"Jessie was one of many attendees that visited us during the event to learn more about our communities and the active and retired military incentives we have to offer," Douis said. "These special offers are our way of saying, 'thank you.'"
