Columbia has a love of the arts as seen in its theatres, galleries, dance companies, orchestra, art schools, and outdoor murals. The city is enriched by artists who have chosen to live here. Many more exhibit their works in galleries, museums and at festivals. The Koger Center for the Arts provides Columbia with excellent entertainment in the form of theatre, music and dance. Carolina Coliseum and The Township also provide a wide array of entertainment.

Home to the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, Columbia is the site of a full array of exciting Southeast Conference sports. Columbia plays host to some of the finest golf courses in the Southeast, and within easy driving distance are various pro sports teams for Major League Baseball, NBA and NFL excitement.
