Lake Carolina Welcomes McGuinn Homes to Award-Winning Community
May 09, 2012

Local dignitaries and real estate professionals celebrate McGuinn Homes joining the development's builder team.

Columbia, SC (May 9, 2012) – Lake Carolina, a residential master plan community located northeast of Columbia, officially welcomed McGuinn Homes with an opening celebration at their new model home. The home is a never before built model, The Regency within a new enclave of The Ponds at Lake Carolina.

“We are very excited to welcome McGuinn Homes to Lake Carolina,” says David Tuttle, President of Lake Carolina Development Company. “McGuinn Homes is an award-winning builder in our marketplace. We are honored they are now part of our highly decorated builder team.”

McGuinn Homes will be the featured builder within The Ponds at Lake Carolina. Homes begin in the mid $100,000s and contain features and finishes for today’s discerning buyers. “McGuinn Homes is a great addition and they complement our list of builders already building within Lake Carolina,” comments Carol Douis, President of Lake Carolina Properties. “We are not surprised by McGuinn’s success. Nine homes sold within The Ponds prior to this model-opening event. Buyers are drawn to McGuinn’s ‘Your Home, Your Way’ concept and their ability to make changes for the purchaser. Add to that a highly amenitized community such as Lake Carolina. We expect many sales and a bright future.”

The Ponds at Lake Carolina is the community’s third new neighborhood opening this year. In January, construction began on homes in Ashland Mills and Ashland Park, expanding the community’s neighborhood count to 36. “We are fortunate to be able to bring new neighborhoods to market,” comments Mr. Tuttle. “We feel the market is beginning to change and we have a variety of homes and offerings across several price points.”
